Fertility, Conception & Reflexology

Fertility and Conception

Reflexology is a great treatment to receive to help prepare your body for conception and pregnancy.  In our busy lives we encounter many forms of stress which can have a detrimental effect on our body disrupting balance and harmony.  Daily stress factors as well as the stress that can arise for couples who are trying to conceive can all have a negative impact on fertility for both men and women.

Regular reflexology treatments before and whilst trying to conceive can help to bring your body into balance by creating a state of deep relaxation to help manage the levels of stress, calming the body mentally, emotionally and physically.  This supports the balancing of hormones and the regulation of menstrual cycles and helps to encourage ovulation and conception as well as helping all the other body systems to create a better state of wellbeing.

Reflexology can also be used along side IVF or other fertility treatments to help reduce the stress and anxiety that is sometimes felt and to help increase overall wellbeing.

Regular reflexology treatments during the pregnancy can be very beneficial for you.  Treatments can create a state of deep relaxation encouraging feelings of support both mentally and emotionally throughout your pregnancy journey.  They can also help to alleviate physical symptoms that are often associated with pregnancy such as:

  • Headaches

  • Nausea

  • Backache

  • Insomnia

  • Swollen ankles

  • Constipation

  • Anxiety and stress

  • Water retention

  • Cramps

During the later stages of pregnancy reflexology treatments can help to encourage the production of hormones that help assist with the labour.
